In keeping with its motto of “working for the profession and the public,” the YLD has 30 hard-working committees that provide service to the public, the profession and the Bar through and array of projects and programs.
Latest News
Join Our Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee
We have openings for both lawyers and non-lawyers on our Unlicensed Practice of Law (UPL) Standing Committee, appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia.
- Role: Review district committee recommendations regarding litigation and consider requests for advisory opinions.
- Commitment: Meet every 6-12 months (in person, by phone or via Zoom), with 1-2 hours of prep and 2-3 hour meetings.
- Open Positions: Lawyers in Judicial Administrative Districts 4 (DeKalb/Rockdale), 8 (Milledgeville area) and 10 (Augusta area).
